The age of challenge has ended?

previously Games used to be challenging, some times drive you insane to pas a boss or a level, i still remember the game nemesis on MSX, playing for 3 hours to reach one point and we have on shot of using a weapon that we dont know how to use and ending up replying the game again for getting that single shot again!

Prince of Persia with its crazy puzzles that can drive you nuts!

Flash back for sega system which was some serious challenge and also lets not forget Back from this world.

classic games were amazing, the game designer used to challenge the audience and say, I dare you my fan to finish my game.

this age was still there at the times of psx generation where we have resident evil, silent hill 1, in cold blood and many other games, even ps2 at some point but now days games.............epic fail.

games are becoming easy to finish, no element of challenge cause the game maker is afraid that his casual player might get bored of the game and just leaves it and not play it again and in that he will have bad rating and can't make a sequel for that game, and thanks to who? people with fat wallets who treat the game as product!










Castlevania lords of shadows, the game was a big fail when it has super challenging bosses but it has the autosave which saves if u take down a quarter of the bosses health! are you serious? O_O what the hell? where is the challenge in that? and lets not talk about the epic fail in game design.

anyway I want to bring back the old school video games, and if you understand what am talking about? please join me and let us make a change.

MGS3 on one go

Today I spent my day at Blur Arcade at Sathyam theater with my friend Ali and Allen, I finished MGS3 from the HD collection on one go! I really missed that feel of sitting a playing a game that I really enjoy with friends while they watch me going through it and both make funny comments about the game a joke around about it and joke about each other, nothing can beat that!, and mostly I miss doing that with my elder bro Haider AKA(Sonic) those winter nights we spend near the heater and the tea pot on top of that with snacks and the dark room with only TV light lighting the room playing MGS,Resident evil or Silent Hill, man!!! awesome beautiful day, I really enjoyed kicking Volgan's ass! that sadistic sucker! I hate him!!!! nothing can beat MGS in fun factor! it is a game that can never get bored of, and thanks to Hido Kojima for that, sadly I forgot how to add the silencer to the MK22 and I was an idiot not to read the instruction through the whole game and I ended up being detected a LOT! but I made it through and in the end when I was setting the C3 for Shagahod's gas tankers I noticed how to apply the silencer and at that time, my friend Ali was like =_= your an idiot! you play way better with a silencer! you should have checked how to equip it previously!, I was able to collect the Cobra unit Uniforms! which I had to beat every one of them with a tranquilizer and it was hellish to do that! not an easy job! O_O but what the hell I did it!, it was a lot of fun, and really relaxing experience and am ready to get back to work, lot of plans and too little time, lets see what I can do.

planing on replying MGS4 and finish it, and of course it will inspire me more to work since MGS is one of the major inspirational source in my life, since I understand what war is and the story point of view, I feel a lot connected to it cause that main point of it is that war has no heroes and it is the truth.

April you are killing me =_=

 In the last few days, it was just too epic for me to handle =_= a hell lot of things were done, but a lot of problems have happened!

I went to Blur to enjoy my cursed day of birth and ended up striking chennai with a 8.5! earthquake with my bad luck! O_O

my black pants got torn!, my fridge is fucked! AC not working properly! lots of power cuts! and hell lot of other small small things that can drive a man insane, but am still hanging there thanks to my work! since i have been cleaning up pages from Project Mercy comic ( graduation project ) and i have done lots of animation bases for the 2D silhouette fighting scene in the project, having also some MGS fever that i have been drawing solid snake and MOF soliders!.......at least at the 9th i think my and my buddy Ali went to pizza corner and had a nice dinner there, and also had a subway salad with my buddies Allen and Ali, that is all I can about what happened in the last few days, something is Epically wrong with April, my luck gets to -100 on the bullshit scale! O_O and I just don't know why!....anyway enjoy my sketches and animation, have a bad luck free week! good night!

Kojima, Metal Gear, Fox

Since I was 7th grade I started playing Metal Gear, and I started becoming a fan of Kojima, I loved this epic game like no other game, I would run to a store to buy one as soon as it release when they shot a new one in the market, but recently sadly I don't know he started screwing up few things, such as making a new hero looking too sissy, following the recent sad Twilightish generation, when Solid Snake and Big Boss is a gentle macho man and he was an example of a good man that I myself and other MGS fans wanted to be him! but now sadly it is not getting as cool as it used to be when Raiden came to the screen.

one hell of a game, finished it over 30 times

 

Metal Gear Peace Walker : the game was really well made, that I really really really enjoyed it a lot!, but the problem came with the Extra mission, Big Boss dating a 16 years old? O_o hello!? and the brief was ( Big Boss is a 32 years old man and Paz is 16 years old, I think Boss has enough charisma to seduce a 16 years old ) what the hell?! are you serious? O_O another fail Kojima.

and lets not bring the more fail of his work Castlevania Lords Of Shadows? that was one of it's kind in failing =_=

but since few years ago, he has been working on his game engine, which is named was inspired by the MGS serious, Fox Engine, this Engine is for sure putting all 3D game engine in the industry out of commission for sure! check out the article in here and there is a snap where it shows a conformance room, side A is real life and side B is a real time engine render, INSANE! but still didn't show anything on exteriors yet. check it out and tell me what do you think my dear followers.

Today I had the chance to talk to one major artist from the industry on deviantart known as Artgerm www.artgerm.deviantart.com

I was discussing about free softwares since I don't have enough funds to buy a license for Photoshop or other fancy softwares, he recommanded few other freewares such as Gimp and Paint Tool Sai (paint tool sai costs 65$) and he told me I should try AutoDesk SketchBook Copic Edition ( totally free from Autodesk ) I would like to share this link with you guys so you can also enjoy the free fruits of the awesome people who give away nice things to others.

Square brush/ Converting brushes from Photoshop to Gimp

I used this brush that was given to me by one of my online best friends who is David Liu! also known as Angry Angry Asian on deviantart, seriously awesome concept artist and animator.

he gave me a set of brushs on my last birthday with an awesome wallpaper of Guts from Berserk!

AWESOME ISN'T IT? XD

I tried em and this brush set is seriously too awesome!

photoshop is a good software really!

but the problem is that I can't afford a license for that, and now am using the college license just to set my portfolio!

its too damn expensive! I found few other softwares that are really good in painting but lets hope i can find the same brush or at least convert it to other softwares and use it T_T lets see!

I just finished watching the video and this engine is amazing! i loved the idea of broken parts animation since it was used in many lovely games! such as metal slug!(Bosses animation) one of my best top 10 favorite 2D games! Contra HardCorps for Sega system.

This method was used in the famous animated movie Howl's Moving Castle! by Studio Gibil!

I totally support this engine and I know for sure! that I will be using it in the future :)

Productive fun day

Today was a productive fun day, I needed some references for my 2D silhouette fight scene for Project Mercy (my motion comic for this year) so I called up my friend Sandeep Siddhu and asked for his help with that and he was so generous to do that and let me kick his ass! XD ( with respect of course) done a lot of videos for the reference and the camera man was Mahesh another friend and a class mate of mine, took few pics and here are few of em, the guy in shorts is me :P

after that we all went to KFC and took along my friend Aamir khan for a treat for the hard work of today ( almost broke my foot =_= )

and to add more awesomeness for today! I received Ashley Wood's WWB! ( world war robot ) book!

didn't check it yet, I was inspired by this guy from the beginning of my career through Metal Gear Portable Ops for PSP.

I was planing for an exhibition based on a story of a  Robot (that I design of course)  and tell a story in a different point of view, had the major basic story line in my head so I don't want to be influenced by any others regarding that and am sure it will be fun! ( watch out for Z-96, the Robot with the Red Scarf  ) we might plan it as a video games teaming up with my friend Ali Alkhiro ( Game Designer and Story development freak! ) and Sandeep Siddhu (3D artist and creative person), and also thanks to Ashley Wood for inspiring that! :) * I just hope it will have no connection with his ideas or they will call me a plagiarist O_O this will be the last thing i need in they beginning of  my career* but lets see what WWB! can kick more into my brain, and here are some treat for you guys! :)

I can't leave

it seems that I can't leave my apartment today cause of some construction are being done outside in my building =_= am trapped with little food and now way of going out until evening! =_= not cool

i have some cooked minced meat in the freezer, two apples, olives and 2 paprikas XD lets see how will i manage XD

Today I was going around with a friend checking for a place for her to stay and thank god she was able to find one, didnt have much time to work but last night I was going through Imagine FX anatomy issue and some really nice issue, I really recommend it
